Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year!
It's been a few weeks since my last post. That's OK. Even if I initially thought that frequency would be a vital factor for me, I've come to the conclusion that consistency and routine are much more important to me.
My year was marked by ups and downs, both mentally and professionally. Unfortunately, I won't be able to address some of the key issues in this context on this blog until next year. But what has remained stable is my abstinence and I am proud of that. I'm still continuing on the path of diagnostics, which is quite lengthy for various reasons and will most likely be completed sometime in 2025, and I'm also happy that I'm staying on track here.
I have a few post topics in the pipeline and have already started writing the majority of the texts. However, what usually prevents me from working productively is not only my procrastination, but also my fluctuating interest in dealing with certain topics. I can develop a hyperfocus on a particular topic over an extended period, which then simply disappears from one day to the other. On top of this comes my perfectionism, especially when researching or writing texts, which proactively blocks me from starting to work in the first place.
Consistency is therefore more important than frequency and this essential realization will I continue to pursue.
It always goes forward, the only question is with which incline or decline.
With this in mind, I wish everyone who might find their way to this blog a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
